End-user license agreement

Purpose

This end-user license agreement (or terms of use) is a contract between the user and ZITOCORP, publisher of the RawDrop app (RawDrop Light and RawDrop). It sets out how the user may install and use the app. By installing or using RawDrop, the user accepts it. The purchase of the full version is also governed by the terms of sale.

License granted

ZITOCORP grants the user a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable license to install and use RawDrop on the devices linked to the user’s store account, in accordance with the store’s usage rules (Google Play and, where applicable, the App Store).

  • For RawDrop Light, the license is free and covers the version limited to 5 photos received per day.
  • For RawDrop, the license is acquired through a one-time purchase, with no time limit.

Restrictions

The user shall not copy, sell, rent, lend or distribute the app; modify, decompile or disassemble it, except where the law expressly allows it (article L122-6-1 of the French Intellectual Property Code); circumvent the RawDrop Light limit or any technical measure of the app; or use it for unlawful purposes.

Operation and compatibility

RawDrop uses the camera’s “Send to Computer” feature and presents itself to the camera as a computer. Pairing is done once, with a USB cable that fits the camera and the phone, not included. A camera registers only one computer at a time: pairing RawDrop replaces the computer it knew.

RawDrop reads the photos on the card without deleting or changing them. Its operation depends on the camera, its firmware, Android and the network. The list of compatible cameras published on this website is indicative; RawDrop Light lets users check compatibility before buying.

Your content

The user’s photos, profiles, presets and correction tables remain the user’s property. RawDrop includes none and passes them on to no one. The user warrants holding the necessary rights to the profiles and presets imported, which are often subject to their publisher’s license.

Updates

ZITOCORP may release updates to RawDrop, distributed by the store, to fix, improve or develop the app. For consumers, ZITOCORP provides the updates needed to keep the app in conformity, under the conditions set by law.

Warranties and liability

RawDrop is provided with the warranties required by law, including the legal guarantee of conformity of digital content for consumers (see the terms of sale). Beyond that, ZITOCORP does not warrant that the app works with all equipment, without interruption or error.

We recommend keeping the originals on the camera’s card until you have checked that they were received. ZITOCORP is not liable for losses due to incompatible or faulty equipment, a network or power interruption, or improper use. These limits do not apply in case of fault by ZITOCORP and do not reduce consumers’ legal rights.

Intellectual property and trademarks

RawDrop, its name, logo and code are the property of ZITOCORP. RawDrop is an independent app, not affiliated with or endorsed by Sony Group Corporation; Sony, α and camera model names are trademarks of their owners, used only to indicate compatibility.

Term and termination

The license lasts as long as the user uses RawDrop. The user may end it at any time by uninstalling the app. ZITOCORP may terminate the license if the user seriously breaches it; the user must then stop using RawDrop.

Personal data

RawDrop collects no personal data: see the privacy policy.

Apps obtained from the App Store

If RawDrop is obtained from Apple’s App Store, the following terms also apply:

  • this license is concluded between the user and ZITOCORP, not with Apple; ZITOCORP, not Apple, is solely responsible for RawDrop and its content;
  • the license is limited to the use of RawDrop on Apple-branded products that the user owns or controls, as permitted by the usage rules of the App Store terms of service;
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for RawDrop;
  • if RawDrop fails to conform to any applicable warranty, the user may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding RawDrop;
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by the user or any third party relating to RawDrop, including product liability claims, claims that RawDrop fails to conform to legal requirements, and consumer protection claims;
  • in the event of a third-party claim that RawDrop infringes its intellectual property rights, ZITOCORP, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement and discharge of that claim;
  • the user represents not being located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo, and not being listed on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties;
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this license and may enforce it against the user.

Governing law

This license is governed by French law. The rules on disputes and consumer mediation are set out in the terms of sale.
