This English version is provided for convenience. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.

Write to us: contact@zitocorp.com. We answer in English and French. For a receiving or developing problem, please attach the diagnostic log if you can (see below).

The camera is not found

In the app, Settings → Connection assistant checks the phone’s network and goes over these points:

  • Start sending just before: on the camera, MENU → Wireless → “Send to Computer”. The camera gives up after a few minutes.
  • Same network: the camera must have saved the network (MENU → Wireless → Access Point Set.), and the phone must be connected to it or share it.
  • Hotspot on 2.4 GHz: many cameras only see 2.4 GHz. In the hotspot settings, choose 2.4 GHz or “Extend compatibility”.
  • Paired computer turned off: if a paired computer is on with its import software running, it may take the session instead of the phone.
  • Client isolation: some networks (guest, hotel) prevent devices from seeing each other. The phone’s hotspot avoids this problem.
  • Enter the IP address: the camera’s address appears in the hotspot’s list of connected devices. Enter it in Settings → Camera.

USB pairing

Pairing is done once, with a USB cable that fits your camera and your phone: for example USB-C ↔ micro-USB for the α6000 and a recent phone. A USB-C adapter can also work, as long as it carries data (not just charging).

  1. On the camera: MENU → Setup → USB Connection → “Mass Storage”.
  2. Connect the camera to the phone and turn it on.
  3. In RawDrop, choose “Pair the phone over USB”, then accept the USB permission Android asks for.

A camera registers only one computer at a time: after pairing, the computer it knew no longer receives the photos.

Diagnostic log

RawDrop records receiving, developing and export errors in a log that stays on your phone. To send it to us: Settings → Diagnostic log → Share, then choose your email app and the address contact@zitocorp.com. The log contains no identifiers or network addresses: only file names, look names and error messages.

Profiles and presets

RawDrop includes no profiles or presets. A look combines a .dcp camera profile (required), an .xmp preset (recommended) and, if you have one, a .cube correction table. Copy these files to the phone, then import them in the Looks tab.

Purchases and refunds

RawDrop is bought once on Google Play: the purchase is linked to your Google account and lets you reinstall the app without paying again. Refunds follow Google Play’s policy; in case of difficulty, write to us with your order number. Before buying, RawDrop Light lets you try the app for free with your gear. See also the terms of sale.

Deleting your data

RawDrop sends no data: everything it stores stays on your phone and disappears when you uninstall it (photos added to the gallery stay there). To have us delete our email exchanges, write to contact@zitocorp.com. See the privacy policy.
